Bjørn about himself...
"I hail from Denmark, but my journey has been a fortunate one, weaving through diverse cultures and beautiful landscapes around the globe. Originally trained in classical dance, the toxic blend of negativity, competition, and perfectionism in that world led me to explore the realms of hospitality in Sweden, Denmark, and Australia. It was during this time that yoga entered my life sporadically, primarily as a physical exercise.
Rediscovering the profound essence of yoga in Copenhagen, while working in a massage and wellness center, marked a turning point for me. Fueled by this newfound passion, I embarked on a transformative journey to India, where I immersed myself in a 200-hour Teacher Training Course with the inspiring instructors from Mahi Yoga & Parimukti Yoga in Arambol, Goa. It became clear to me that this path was my calling — to share the wisdom, joy, and profound self-discovery that regular yogic practices can bring.
Since attaining my RYT200 in 2013, I've been both a student and a guide, assisting and leading various Yoga Teacher Training Courses in Goa and Dharamsala, India. In homage to my roots, I established my own yoga studio, AeroYoga, named after the picturesque Danish island where it all began. In 2016, I expanded my horizons, initiating Teacher Training Courses in Thailand and Luxembourg, always with my revered guru Mahi either by my side or in my heart.
Over the past decade, I've accumulated over 8000 teaching hours, ranging from intimate one-on-one sessions to larger groups of 40, accommodating drop-ins and conducting workshops. My teachings encompass a spectrum of subjects, including Anatomy & Physiology, Teaching Methodology, and diverse styles of Asana. Currently holding the esteemed ERYT-500 qualification by Yoga Alliance and proudly steering the ship at BYOGA, I remain devoted to spreading the love and wisdom of yoga wherever the universe guides me.
All is as it should be, relax and breathe deeply."
